The Tree of Life is a symbol in most of the major religions of the world.
This piece, with its many wood elements, can represent many things. The tree itself is cut from black cherry wood which is a fruit wood representing the continuence of life. The backing is bass wood, one of the whitest woods, representing purity. The frame is made from two different woods walnut and wormy butternut representing diversity. The worm holes in the butternut represent lifes lack of perfection.

This is a one of a kind original piece.
It was hand scroll sawed. An oil finish was applied to enhance the beauty of the woods. I applied a sawtooth hanger on the back for easy hanging.
